FC Barcelona and Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo finalise €12m deal

Claudio Bravo will play second fiddle to another new signing Marc Andre Ter Stegen

Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo and La Liga giants Barcelona have agreed terms after a reported €12m deal has been finalized between the Catalan giants and now Bravo’s former club Real Sociedad.

The deal included Mexican midfielder Jonathan dos Santos in an exchange for the 32 year old keeper which would have lowered the price to €10m euros but the Mexican rejected the offer and the deal was finalized at €12m euros.

Bravo who has made 237 appearances for Real Sociedad is away on international duty in Brazil where his country Chile are taking part in the ongoing World Cup. The goalkeeper who is also captaining his side has been in red hot form and with his fantastic keeping helped his team knock out defending champion Spain when Chile won 2-0.

Bravo will now travel to Nou Camp after the World Cup where he will play second fiddle to another new signing Marc Andre ter Stegen.
