New I-league entrants Bengaluru FC have appointed Richard Hood as the clubs Head of Youth Development. The 26 year old youngster is an AFC ‘A’ and UEFA ‘B’ coaching licence holder and he is currently doing his UEFA ‘A’ license at Largs in Scotland.
“It’s an exciting opportunity to say the least. The city has enough talent to ensure we have players breaking through to the first team. It’s a good change to come from an Academy to a club set-up,” said Richard Hood.

Before joining Bengaluru FC, Richard worked as coach with the Academy at Mahogany FC in Chennai, Vasco SC and the Tata Football Academy.
For young Richard it is a big step to join Bengaluru FC and head their Youth Development program, but on the other side for the club it is a wise appointment in a young, talented coach heading their youth development system.
