According to the recent reports, Arsenal are plotting a January move for Turkey and Galatasaray forward Burak Yilmaz.

Even though Arsenal have tremendous depth in the midfield, they still lack a backup striker for Olivier Giroud. Nicklas Bendtner is the only decent option available at the moment.

Reportedly, Arsene Wenger believes that Yilmaz is the right man to share the goal scoring burden with Giroud for the Gunners.

More encouragingly, Galatasaray’s chairman Unal Aysal gave a hint that they are ready to sell Yilmaz if a proper bid comes in their way.

He told the Daily Star:

“If he wants to go and clubs are interested then of course, why not?

“I favour Turkish players going to Europe to play in European leagues.”

Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Chelsea have also been linked with the target man.
