Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that he would like to sign Wilfried Zaha in the summer but Crystal Palace are trying to unsettle him. While the Daily Mail suggest that Man United could be willing to sell the tricky winger.

The winger is currently on-loan at Cardiff with former Man Utd striker Solskjaer as his manager and has struggled in his first full season in the top-flight.

Zaha twinkled in the Championship and earned a £15 million move to Man Utd last year. He stayed with Crystal Palace until the summer when he joined up with his new side.

However, Sir Alex Ferguson signed him but retired soon after forcing Zaha to work with David Moyes who didn’t fancy him and sent him on-loan to south Wales.

The Norwegian, who also confirmed he would like to sign the 21-year-old on a permanent basis, said: “We have had Wilfried coming on, making an impact and, surprise surprise, Palace want to sign him this week.

“I would like to sign him if we can. Wilf is a good player but I don’t think he is being drawn into this situation where it is suddenly brought up that his former club want to sign him just as he faced his old team. Palace is his past.

“Of course it is manufactured. But Wilf is fine. I have had words with him and he knows the game. I have not heard Tony Pulis speaking about him, I am not sure he is Tony’s type of player.”

Zaha has created only five chances in seven appearances for Cardiff, but won seven tackles.
