Craig Noone - From tiling Gerrard's house to playing against him

Cardiff City v Chievo - Pre Season Friendly

The newly promoted club Cardiff City’s winger, Craig Noone, has come a long way in his career. Not too long ago, he was tiling Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard‘s house and now he is in the same league as the England Captain waiting to play against in the coming weeks.

A 25-year-old, Craig Noone, was playing non-league till the age of 20.

He talked about Harrogate, his former club where he begun resurrecting his career after being let go of from two different clubs at the age of 15. He went on to talk about the pitch saying,” ‘I played there a few times – it’s on such a slope that sometimes the ball would get away from you and just keep rolling,’ he said. ‘You couldn’t catch it – it was a nightmare for wingers. But I don’t think there was ever any dog c*** on that pitch. I played on a few that did have it.’

He then talked about his new experience having played two weeks in the top flight and said, “It’s just crazy. Every little thing is setting me off thinking at the moment – the Premier League balls, the badges on the kits. Championship balls are good, believe me, but kicking Premier League balls in training feels even better. I had it the other day – just a little moment in training. I thought, “I’m training with Craig Bellamy every day”.

‘I know it might sound daft, but that’s just how it is for me after everything that’s happened. I’ve always wanted to be a Premier League player.’

The winger’s club Cardiff City will be facing Everton on Saturday.
