Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he may have revealed ‘way too much’ in his newly-released documentary, but he has insisted he does not regret a moment of it, as per reports on the Mirror.

The 30-year-old’s documentary Ronaldo was launched on Monday and the makers of the film were from the same production team behind the Ayrton Senna and Amy Winehouse documentaries. It aimed to show the Portugal captain in a different light and there were a couple of big name stars present for the premiere including the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Gary Neville and Radamel Falcao.

The documentary reveals intimate aspects such as how Ronaldo’s mother admitted to thoughts of having him aborted soon after his conception and the reason for his failure in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil being down to an injury and the pain he had gone through during the tournament.

The former Manchester United star also talks about why he has never revealed who the mother of his son Cristiano Junior is, about his father and his brother’s problems with alcoholism.

Unbelievable feeling to share my life: Ronaldo

The Portuguese forward’s life is now an open book and it is out there for the world to see. Perhaps, some may think he has opened up way too much but the player himself has insisted that he does not regret a moment of it and he has admitted that he enjoyed making the documentary.

“Too much? Maybe, but I just had fun,” Ronaldo said at a press conference in London.

“I don't regret anything. I feel unbelievable.”

“When you do something people will find reason to criticise you, but it's normal. Since I was a young boy I always felt special. I saw the people looked at me with different eyes.

“I feel very comfortable with the cameras, with the media,” he concluded.

Ferguson was the key to my United move: Ronaldo

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes reveals in the film how Barcelona, Valencia and Inter Milan were all keen on sealing the signature for the 18-year-old from Sporting Lisbon. However, all of these clubs wanted to leave him at the Portuguese club on loan.

The 30-year-old ended up signing for 20 times English Champions and he has revealed in the documentary that Sir Alex Ferguson was the sole reason as to why he chose to move to Old Trafford despite receiving offers from many other top clubs across Europe.

Ferguson had promised the Portugal captain that he would play in at least ‘50 percent of games’ in the first season – which eventually played a huge part in his move to the Red Devils.

“With United I have a great passion,” Ronaldo added. “What Jorge did for me at 18 with the words of Ferguson was a dream. To play in Sporting and move was ‘Wow, what is that?’’

“When Ferguson wanted me and said I'd play 50 per cent of the games that was unbelievable. I took that decision because Jorge helped me. The last word from Ferguson was key also.”
