Timsah is the Turkish word for ‘crocodile.’

The board of Turkish side Bursaspor who play in the Super Lig have given a green light to the construction of their brand new stadium called Timsah Arena, or as it is nicknamed by the locals as the “Green Crocodiles.”

According to Stadia Directory, the stadium will be featuring a coiling crocodile-like roof on its outside, a traditional way to intimidate opponents. And, that is not just it, the crocodile mask will also have two eyeholes which will blaze two beams of lights firing into the skies.

Spread around 150,000m², the stadium will boast state-of-the art facilities, and is located very close to the train station Acemler which will give fans a very easy and quick way to see their favorite team play in this magnificent stadium.

Located in Bursa, the stadium is expected to be open by the end of this year and will replace Bursaspor current stadium, the Bursa Atatürk Stadium.
