Since Barcelona have signed Neymar, there have been doubts about David Villa’s position at the Catalan club.Villa joined Barcelona in 2010 for a whooping 40 million Euros and since then has been in and out of the team due to injuries and form.
Andre Villa-Boas is said to be very keen to sign the experienced striker in a bid to push Spurs for a Champions League spot next year. Many other Premier League clubs are also rumored to have inquired about the availability of Spain’s all time top scorer.
Though Villa said that he wanted to concentrate on the Confederations Cup and isn’t thinking about his future as of now.
“I have a contract with Barca and I’ve always said that I’m very happy here. I always try to think of the present. I will go to the Confederations Cup and try to play a good role there.
“We’ll need to analyse many things during the summer and then we’ll see.
“Right now I’m not thinking about anything else than playing football.”
