Delight for Hull fans as key attacker is offered 'lucrative' new deal

Hull City are confident of tying star forward Sone Aluko down to a long-term contract within the next seven day’ according to manger Steve Bruce.

The club have reportedly been in negotiations for the last month as they look to cut short any speculation over Aluko’s future as the striker enters the final year of his contract.

“We’re confident we can get a deal done, maybe we’ll know a bit more in the next few days. We’re trying our utmost to try and get it over the line, at this minute, though, we’re still boxing a little bit, ” Bruce told reporters.

“We’re doing everything we can to sort it. If it drags on, it drags on, that’s Sone’s prerogative. But we’re still talking and looking for that middle ground between us.”

The Hull Daily Mail claims that a ‘lucrative’ three-year contract is on the table and that Bruce met with vice-chairman Ehab Allam to finalise the details of the deal.

Aluko himself has reiterated his desire to keep playing for Hull in their return to the Premier League, and the Nigerian marksman has made his opened his Premier League account with a goal against Newcastle United.
