18 year old Derryl Endro has been picked by the Indian national team scouts for a week long training camp to be held at the AIFF Training Centre – Fatorda in Margao. Derryl joins the impressive list of young Dempo players performing in the ongoing Goa Pro League who have been called for the Under-19 national team camp.

Earlier, Dempo’s new signing Dom Sahil Tavora was called up to the Under-19 camp and has been training with the team for the last two weeks. The duo will train with the national junior squad from November 20 to 27 and will have to go through the selection process after the camp resumes.

Confirming the call-up, Tony Cabral of the AIFF Elite Academy in Goa said, “Yes, the boys have been called for the camp where they will be kept under observation. At the end of the camp, they will go back to their respective clubs. But, they will have to report again if required by the Coach.”

Dempo SC relied on the expertise of their Head Coach Arthur Papas to spot the above talents for the national teams. “As a club we are very enthused and excited about the development and progression of both Sahil Tavora and Derryl Endro culminating in their recent U19 national team call-ups. It is in line with the club chairman’s vision to place a higher emphasis on identifying and developing future Indian talent and it bodes well for the long term success and health of Dempo SC,” said Arthur Papas.
