Dortmund vs Arsenal: Champions League Preview

After an impressive performance against Liverpool in the Premier League at the weekend to move 5 points clear of the chasing pack, Arsenal head to the Westfalenstadion to face Borussia Dortmund hoping to boost their Champions League qualification chances with a win.

Dortmund have won their past 7 home games so should be feeling confident however Klopp is an intelligent man and will urge his side to be cautious. Arsenal left themselves open to a late Lewandowski winner as they chased the win so you can expect to see a more patient and reserved Arsenal tonight should they take the lead.

Arsenal are looking clinical in front of goal in the Champions League and have scored five goals to Dortmund’s six despite Dortmund having twice the amount of shots. Arsène Wenger will be aware of this and should fancy his side to take all three points if they can restrict Dortmund to as few shots as possible.

The last time these sides met in Germany it was a 1-1 draw and you can imagine that neither side will be happy with a point as Napoli are favourites to take all three against Marseille.
