Enzo Zidane chooses Frances over Spain.

France U19 manager Willy Sagnol confirmed that Zinedine Zidane‘s son Enzo Zidane will be playing for France instead of Spain and has been called up to join France’s Under-19 training camp at Clairefontaine next week.

“The player has decided to wear the blue jersey”, Sagnol told Le Parisien. “He can still change in the future but it’s his current wish to play for the French national team.”

Although born in France, Enzo obtained Spanish citizenship in 2006, and was called up to the Spain Under-15 team in 2009.

Enzo, 18, has been part of the Real Madrid youth system since 2004 and currently plays for the Juvenil A team.

He is also eligible to play for Algeria where his paternal grandparents are from.
