Fabregas responds to Manchester United rumours

Manchester United midfield target Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he is happy with Barcelona and has no plans to leave Camp Nou in the summer.

The 26-year-old was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, with the English champions and is former employers, Arsenal believed to be interested in his services. The Spanish international claimed he is “fascinated” by the reports and has now expressed his desire to continue with La Liga champions.

“It’s fascinating how some people can invent these things, I’ve never opened my mouth about this. I’m very happy, it’s taken a lot to get where I am and I don’t plan on throwing that away for anything,” Goal.com quoted Fabregas as saying.

“The truth is that if I didn’t feel that I was wanted it would be different, but I haven’t been told anything. I’m very happy, the truth is that I want to triumph with Barcelona. I’m living a dream, it was my dream since I was a child and I would like to fulfil that by working hard,” the midfielder added.

With Fabregas’ latest comments, United’s incoming manager David Moyes needs to set his eyes on his compatriot Thiago Alcantara and Kevin Strootman. The latter two are also on the Premier League champions’ radar and a signing of either of the players in the summer would please the Red Devils fans.
