Witch doctor Nana Kwaku Bonsam is behind Ronaldo’s injury

A witch doctor from Ghana has grabbed the footballing world’s attention after he claimed that he has been the reason behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent pre-World Cup injuries.

Nana Kwaku Bonsam, who is a self-proclaimed traditional Ghanian priest, has revealed that he has been concentrating on bringing down the Portuguese superstar since February so as to prevent him from playing against Ghana.

Talking to radio station Angel FM, the witch doctor said, “I know what Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is about, I’m working on him.”

“I am very serious about it. Last week, I went around looking for four dogs and I got them to be used in manufacturing a special spirit called ‘Kahwiri Kapam’,” he added.

Bonsam, whose name literally means “Devil of Wednesday” when translated, also said that he had already predicted Ronaldo to sit out of the tournament which starts on June 12 in Brazil. He added that the injury cannot be cured by any means as it was completely “spiritual.” “I said it four months ago that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo and rule him out of the World Cup or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana and the best thing I can do is to keep him out though injury.“This injury can never be cured by any medic, they can never see what is causing the injury because it is spiritual. Today, it is his knee, tomorrow it is thigh, next day it is something else,” he concluded.

Ronaldo has been suffering from a tendonitis which will see him miss out the World Cup pre-friendlies against Mexico and Ireland. The Real Madrid winger is expected to be back in time for Portugal’s inaugural match against Germany.

Ghana will face off against Portugal in the final match of group G on June 26.
