Real Madrid fans may find it difficult to attend the away game against Barcelona because of high prices

FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid is always a hotly contested and a much-awaited fixture, and the first El Clasico of this season is scheduled for December 3 at Camp Nou. Currently, Real Madrid are at the summit of the La Liga table with a two-point lead over the Catalans which makes next month's tie between the two even more mouth watering. In spite of all the build-up to the big match, Real fans have been disappointed as they are getting charged extravagantly for the El Clasico.

Fans are going to be charged 50% more than the Barca fans were charged during their last season's league game at the Bernabeu. Los Blancos supporters are naturally upset with Barcelona's decision also with the fact that only 600 tickets have been made available for them. Each ticket will cost a Madrid fan €123 which is a huge sum for an away game.

The fact that the away supporters are seated way too high from all the action as the players literally look like ants from their view also doesn’t improve the state of things. Also with a new screen installed at Camp Nou which separates them from the home fans is an added intrusion for the away fans, which makes the ticket prices even more unjust.

Madrid supporters are feeling aggrieved as their club charged the Catalan supporters just €80 last season, €43 less than what they will be paying next month if they want to watch the game live.

The 'Madridista Association March 6, 1902' sent a letter to La Liga to show their discontent of this abusive escalation of prices in which it is written, "It is unacceptable that in countries with higher incomes they pay much less than in Spain. In England there is a maximum price set of 39 euros for visiting fans, not to mention Germany, where fans are treated for what they are, the heart of football."

Another issue for which the supporters are said to be unhappy with is the Madrid derby for which the fans have to shell out a sum between €90-€100, to watch the game live. This price is more than what Atletico supporters paid last time as only 130 of them watched the Madrid derby at the Bernabeu with the ticket costing them €70. It is there to be seen if the Catalan club takes note of supporters' grievances and plan out a more affordable price.
