Lionel Messi scored a brace against Sevilla.

Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona celebrates scoring their third goal during the La Liga match between Sevilla FC and FC Barcelona at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on February 9, 2014 in Seville, Spain.

With two goals last night against Sevilla, Lionel Messi has became the player with the most goals for a single club in the history of Spanish soccer taking over the previous record set by Athletic Bilbao legend Telmo Zarra who had 333 goals to his name with his side.

Lionel Messi is now only eight goal shy of breaking Paulinho Alcantara’s record of being Barcelona’s top scorer including official and friendly matches with 369 goals.

He could also surpass Real Madrid’s Hugo Sanchez, Raul Gonzalesz and Alfredo Di Stefano’s goal scoring record in the following weeks to come and become the league’s second best scorer of all time. And, he is just 26!
