Luke Shaw and Ashley Young en route to London for Tottenham Hotspur away

It seems that all injury updates from Manchester United of late have been negative, but after the news of Marouane Fellaini’s broken rib earlier this morning, some good news has come out this afternoon as Luke Shaw is a confirmed member of Louis van Gaal’s squad who are travelling down to London via plane on the eve of their next festive fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.

The England left-backs inclusion in the travelling squad was confirmed by the in form Ashley Young, who posted a picture of the two of them on the plane just about to leave Manchester Airport. Young posted on his Instagram and Twitter account: “En route to London with @lukeshaw23, hoping for another 3 points to end the year on a high”

It was thought that Luke Shaw would not be back until next year after suffering ankle ligament damage against Arsenal at the end of November, but his rehabilitation and recovery have gone well.
