Manchester United fan in Kenya commits suicide after Newcastle defeat

Shocking news has come out of Kenya, where a fierce Manchester United fan allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the seventh floor after two consecutive defeats at home to Everton and Newcastle.

The local police, which investigated the incident, claim 23-year old John Jimmy Macharia, could not bear to watch as his club slumped to another 1-0 defeat against Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

According to Nairobi County police chief Benson Kibue, the friends of Mr Macharia confirm the cause of this bizarre event.

“All witness accounts suggest he committed suicide because the team lost but officers are still talking to those who were with him as part of the investigations into the incident” he reported to the media.

“It is not the first time we are losing a young man because of the football in England, which is far away from us. They need to know that is just a game” he added.
