Robin van Persie out injured again

Manchester United’s season suffered another blow as striker Robin van Persie could be out of action for another six weeks.

The Dutch striker suffered another thigh injury, the same injury he had once suffered at his old club Arsenal.

Van Persie has not played for the Red Devils since early December in a 1-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League group stages. Manager David Moyes had even sent him to Holland where he could work on his fitness with PSV Eindhoven’s fitness coach.

When asked about a possible date for his return ahead of the key match against Swansea on Saturday, Moyes said, “I wouldn’t want to put a date on it,”

Things couldn’t get worse for Moyes as Wayne Rooney is also out of the team. Moyes was also charged by the FA for his comments after the last game against Sunderland in the Capital One Cup.
