Milan have to improve to beat Zenit, says Allegri

Milan, Oct 3 – AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri said his side have to “improve a lot” in order to beat Zenit St. Petersburg at their European Champions League group game Wednesday.

The Rossoneri will face the Russian champions at the Petrovsky Stadium, and Allegri believes his team need to work hard for a favourable result, reports Xinhua.

“We have to prove to be a good team on a technical level,” he was quoted as saying by football-italia.net. “But we still have a lot to improve on. Zenit are a very good team.”

“Russian football has evolved greatly. The arrivals of Hulk and Axel Witsel has seen them take a great leap forward.”

“(Zenit boss) Luciano Spalletti is an excellent coach. He won the Coppa Italia with Roma, and has won the League here in Russia. His teams always play good football,” he added.
