Nani hints at Manchester United exit

Nani hints that he might leave Old Trafford this summer

Manchester United winger Nani has admitted that he could leave the club this summer. With various other clubs lining up to sign him, he has said that he will consider all the options before taking the decision.

The 27-year-old Portuguese winger signed a new contract with Manchester United in 2013 which would keep him at Old Trafford till 2018. But, he just managed 7 Premier League starts in 2013-14 season owing to a hamstring injury and inconsistent performances.

While it is reported that various clubs are in the front line to sign the Portuguese international, Nani’s remark has increased the speculation that he might move away from the Red Devils after his 5-year-stint.

He told Portuguese paper Abola: "I'm a United player but there has been some interest on my behalf. I will evaluate it and decide what is the most advantageous for me."

Inter Milan are thought to be leading the race to sign Nani’s services with their reported £12m bid. But, there are other clubs like Benfica, Juventus and Arsenal that are closely monitoring the situation.

When the winger was asked about his return to Portugal to play for Benfica, he just remained tight-lipped.

Playing in this World Cup, Nani started all the three matches for Portugal and also scored the opener in the 2-2 draw against USA. Nani will be returning to Portugal after they were eliminated in the group stage.
