Al-Khaleej left-back Pedro Amaral has posted an image with Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, calling the meeting one of the most memorable experiences of his life.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr took on Amaral’s Al-Khaleej at the Al Awal Park in the Saudi Pro League on Monday night (May 8). The visitors drew first blood through Fabio Martins in the fourth minute before Alvaro Gonzalez restored parity for the hosts 13 minutes later. The hosts pushed hard for the winner but ultimately had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Cristiano Ronaldo had a decent game against Al-Khaleej, but could not find a way past the visitor’s in-form goalkeeper Marwan Al Haidari. After the game, the 38-year-old clicked photos with many Al-Khaleej players, with Amaral being one of them.

Shortly after the game, the Portuguese fullback took to Instagram, posting an image with Ronaldo, whom he considers to be the Greatest of All Time (GOAT).

His caption read:

“Experiences that last a lifetime! 🐐(GOAT) @cristiano”

Ronaldo created two chances and one big chance against Al-Khaleej on Monday night. He tested the goalkeeper twice, completed two dribbles, won six of seven aerial duels, and drew four fouls.

In the aftermath of Monday’s draw, Al-Nassr find themselves in second place in the Saudi Pro League standings, sitting five points adrift of leaders Al-Ittihad.

Cristiano Ronaldo eager to return to Real Madrid month after joining Al-Nassr

According to Catalan outlet El Nacional, Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his desire to return to Real Madrid, five months after signing a two-and-a-half-year deal with Al-Nassr. Los Blancos are reportedly open to his return but not as a player.

It has been claimed that the reigning European champions want him to return in a non-playing role as an ambassador. They believe that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner can no longer return to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium as a player.

Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez is also reportedly keen to return to the Spanish capital. However, it is unclear whether or not the Portugal icon would be open to returning to Real Madrid just as an ambassador.

Ronaldo left Real Madrid for Juventus in the summer of 2018. Before joining the Bianconeri, the former Manchester United star played 438 games for Los Blancos, scoring a massive 451 goals.
