The selfie video of the pitch invader who stormed Estádio do Dragão during Portugal's Euro qualifier fixture against Slovakia to meet Cristiano Ronaldo has gone viral over the internet.

In the video, the pitch invader runs towards Ronaldo from the stands. Dodging the match officials, the person managed to meet the Portuguese legend and immediately hugged him.

In their short interaction, the two exchanged a few words as Ronaldo featured in the fan's video. Before getting caught by the security staff, the visibly happy pitch invader also shook hands with the former Real Madrid forward.

Portugal secured a place in the 2024 Euros after they defeated Slovakia 3-2 on October 13 (Friday). Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the top performers of the match for Roberto Martinez's side. The Al-Nassr attacker scored two goals with a passing accuracy of 84%, also winning four of his duels.

Bruno Fernandes was awarded the player of the match as he provided two assists with a passing accuracy of 77%. The Manchester United midfielder also made five key passes and created three big chances.

Cristiano Ronaldo aims to score 1,000 goals before retirement

After scoring twice against Slovakia and helping Portugal qualify for the 2024 Euros, Cristiano Ronaldo said he's looking forward to reaching 1,000 goals in his professional career.

The former Manchester United player has been challenged by Porto's president, Jorge Nuno Pinto, to complete the impossible-looking milestone. Cristiano Ronaldo affirmed that he's confident about scoring 900 goals, but the 1000 mark is difficult. The former Real Madrid attacker said (via the Daily Mail):

"He [Pinto] set me the challenge of reaching 1,000 goals. It will be quite difficult, but it is to see how I am mentally and my motivation. If, physically, my legs treat me as well as I treat them.
"Let's see. Until I reach 1,000, I have to reach 900 first. I believe I will reach it. Now, I always think about short-term goals. The target for 900 goals? I'm confident, but for 1,000 goals, it's a lot of stone to break."

The Portuguese attacker has garnered a staggering 857 goals during his illustrious career. Next up, Portugal will lock horns against Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 17 (Tuesday) at Bilino Polje Stadium. After the international break, Ronaldo's Al-Nassr will face Damac FC in the Saudi Pro League on October 21 (Saturday).
