Nicklas Bendtner to be fined by Arsenal for unsanctioned trip to Copenhagen

West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal - Capital One Cup

Nicklas Bendtner is in the news for all the wrong reasons again as the striker is set to be fined by Arsenal for an unsanctioned trip to Copenhagen.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is set to have talks with the Dane about the events that transpired on Tuesday night after there were reports claiming Bendtner unbuttoned his trousers and rubbed himself against a taxi after a night out in the Danish capital.

“Nobody gave him (Bendtner) any permission to go to Copenhagen. He will be fined for that,” said Wenger while also confirming that he is awaiting a full report regarding the incident.

Bendtner was left out of the Champions League trip to Munich as he was injured.

The 26-year old is believed to have watched Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich at a restaurant in Copenhagen before the alleged incident had taken place.

Bendtner’s contract comes to an end this summer and he will not be offered an extension at the club.

“He is at the end of his contract at the end of the season,’’ emphasized an exasperated Wenger.
