Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has admitted that he did not want star midfielder Mesut Ozil to leave the club , instead he wanted to stay at Real Madrid.

Ozil , Gunners’ record- signing has been in brilliant form and has 4 assists under his belt in as many games for the north London club and many have criticized Real Madrid’s lapse of judgement in selling such an important player.

He further continued, “Ozil left because he wanted to. In truth he told us he wanted to leave and we had a good supply [of midfielders].

“If he had wanted to, he would have stayed here.”

Mesut Ozil’s close friend Sami Khedira who openly has said that he’s unhappy at the club could join the Gunners
