Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion winger and Liverpool target Kaoru Mitoma.

The Japan international, whose current contract with the Seagulls ends in 2025, is seen as an integral part of manager Roberto De Zerbi’s side. After scoring 10 goals and assisting eight from 41 appearances last season, Mitoma has attracted interest from several European clubs.

Among these are Barcelona, who have reportedly been impressed with the attacker's qualities from wide positions, according to Mundo Deportivo. However, a move for Mitoma will not be straightforward, given Manchester City's and Liverpool's interest in the player.

The Catalan outfit are eyeing attacking talent after having lost several wide forwards this summer. Ousmane Dembele joined Paris Saint-Germain, Abde Ezzalzouli moved to Real Betis, and Ansu Fati secured a loan deal with Brighton.

There is also the possibility that Brighton could keep hold of their star player, with rumors of a potential contract extension persisting. As per 90 Min, the forward's current employers will sign an extension with Mitoma before the end of the year.

So far this season, the 26-year-old has started seven of his eight Premier League appearances, bagging three goals and assists each. He's also managed one assist from two Europa League starts in the 2023-24 campaign.

With Brighton placed sixth in the league and just four points off the top after a strong start to the season, Mitoma could choose to remain with his current club.

Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a move for Arsenal midfielder Jorginho in January, a player currently performing a squad role for Mikel Arteta (via Football London). He joined the Gunners from Chelsea in January this year for a fee of £12 million.

So far this season, the Italy international has recorded just one start for the north Londoners this term, the 1-0 win against Premier League Champions Manchester City on October 8.

With Thomas Partey returning from injury, the 31-year-old midfielder could see much less game time. Given his current situation at Arsenal, a move away to La Liga wouldn't be the worst option for the former Blues man.

During Jorginho's stay at the Emirates, he's managed 24 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions, recording just one assist.
