Rumour: Liverpool could sign Alexandre Lacazette in the summer

Lacazette key for Lyon

Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette has refused to rule out a move to Liverpool in the future.

The 22-year-old Frenchman has been in excellent form in Ligue 1 this season, with superstar Paris Saint-Germain pair Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani the only two players ahead of him in the goalscoring charts.

However, his performances have attracted envious glances from across Europe and with Lyon’s well publicised financial troubles and poor league position he could yet leave his boyhood club at the end of the season, reports the Express.

“Everything is going well at the moment, that’s for sure.

“If there really is a club that is interested in me and I cannot advance with Lyon, it will be discussed.

“But I don’t think it will come to that. The matter will be talked about between men and discussed intelligently,” declared Lacazette.

Brendan Rodgers has been linked with £10 million move for the forward to boost his attacking options but could yet face competition to secure his signature.

Although Lacazette has admitted his future is uncertain he remains focused at Lyon for now and has vowed to help the team out of their current predicament while he can.

“I am not going to stop at 13 goals.

“I want to go further, higher and, more importantly, help the team win because if I finish the season with 25 goals but we ended up in tenth, there will be disappointment, so I want to score to help the team,” he insisted.
