According to the Mirror, Cardiff City are front runners to land out of favour Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha in the January transfer window on loan.

The prospects for the Welsh club increased manifold after the recent managerial appointment of former Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The new manager is said to have maintained healthy relations with the Red Devils since his retirement in 2007.

The former Crystal Palace man, Zaha has had a torrid time under David Moyes so far, failing to start a single game in the Premier League this season. The Englishman moved to Old Trafford in a £15 million deal, but now looks very likely to be loaned out for the remainder of the season.

A host of top flight clubs like West Brom, Crystal Palace and Stoke City have shown considerable interest in loaning out the under-21 international.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly set to use all his influence and attract Manchester United into selling the Ivory Coast born midfielder to Cardiff City. A move for the 21-year old to Wales looks to be all but done.
