Mumbai City FC have had a stuttering start to their season with just one point in their first three games. The Mumbaikars who have looked blunt upfront have had their problems at the back too and letting in five goals in three games so far this season.

The Mumbai side missed their experienced goalkeeper Subrata Pal in the opening two games as he was away on international duty with the Indian national team, returned to the team against Chennaiyin FC. But he couldn’t stop the visitors from taking away all three points from them as Mumbai City FC went down 2-0.

But the veteran goalkeeper is refusing to press the panic button as yet and believes his team will soon bounce back from the poor start to the season.

“There is nothing wrong in our team or the players. We haven’t got the desired results but we still have eleven games left to play and we have enough time to get our campaign back on track. We must continue to work hard in this moment and must not panic,” said Subrata Pal who called for composure from his side at this crucial juncture.

Speaking about his preparation for any game during the pre-match press conference in Mumbai, Pal revealed he doesn’t feel the pressure and that’s what makes him a top performer.

“I have played so many years, but I haven’t felt any pressure. Be it Delhi Dynamos or any other opponent, I am not under pressure. For me it becomes difficult when you are under pressure, so I don’t take it,” said the experienced Indian goalkeeper.

Subrata Pal was respectful of the strength of their opponents Delhi Dynamos and hailed them for their displays this season, but proclaimed that his side is good enough to beat any team in the league and that they are determined to win every game starting from the clash with Delhi Dynamos.

“Delhi has done very well and I have full respect for them. But we too have a very good team and we played well in the first three games, but couldn’t get the results. So our season starts now.

“We have forgotten what has happened in the past and are focusing on every game from here on, starting from the game against the Delhi Dynamos,” said a bullish Subrata Pal who called for his side to prove their quality in the league.
