Division 2 resumes after a two-week break with some interesting battles in store. Diablos FC are currently on top and take on Grasshoppers FC in fifth place. FC Kudlu could prove to be one of the first major tests for Al-Fateh, who are in second.
Old rivalries are renewed when Athlos United take on FC Brunton, a game very difficult to call based on the current form of the teams. FC Lawless clash against Netbusters in a bottom of the table clash while Joras look to resurrect their fledgling season against FC Sparta Bengaluru. We round things off with the game between 3rd and 4th, as Titans FC take on FC Bengal.

8:30 AM – FC Lawless V Netbusters FC
We begin our day with the game between FC Lawless and Netbusters FC. Both teams are rock bottom of the table and are winless so far. This might just be the perfect game for both of them to kick-start their seasons and we can expect a tight encounter. Netbusters are nowhere near the levels they reached last season and will have used the break to rejig their strategy. Lawless too will need a change in outlook or risk becoming the punching bags of the division.

10:00 AM – Joras v FC Sparta Bengaluru
The second game of the day sees Joras take on FC Sparta. Joras have been brought back down to earth with two consecutive losses after their bright start on opening day. Their mauling at the hands of Al-Fateh would have hopefully forced their think tank into action. Sparta meanwhile have had a mixed bag so far and have won just one of their games. Their performances though, have been solid and they look like a team destined for a finish in the top half of the table.

11:30 AM – Athlos United FC v FC Brunton
The last game before lunch sees Athlos United FC clash against familiar foes FC Brunton. FC Brunton derailed Athlos’ promotion hopes when they held them to a draw in this same fixture last season. Revenge will certainly be on the cards for the Athlos players but given their own slow start to the season, they will want to approach this game with a tinge of caution. FC Brunton though, will need to win such games to convince their rivals of their lofty ambitions.

1:15 PM – FC Kudlu v Al-Fateh
In perhaps the first real test for Al-Fateh this season, FC Kudlu stand in the way of their march to the top of the table. Al-Fateh have been the team to beat so far, scoring freely, but this game will be the first major examination of their defense, which has remained largely untested so far.
We could also be in for a goal-fest, given the strike forces of both teams. FC Kudlu though, will need to figure out a way to keep their opponents’ forward line quiet or risk being run over. Al-Fateh too, cannot afford to take Kudlu lightly or we might just see the first major upset of the season.

2:45 PM – Grasshoppers FC v Diablos FC
Grasshoppers FC are pitted against Diablos in the second game of the afternoon session. Diablos FC are currently on top, although having played a game more than Al-Fateh. They will want to make the best use of that advantage and gather some early momentum. Grasshoppers, though, are no easy proposition and can give them a run for their money. Diablos seems to have the edge in this one but anything can happen on match-day.

4:15 PM – FC Bengal v Titans FC
The last game of the day features FC Bengal and Titans FC. FC Bengal are unbeaten so far and will look to carry on that record. Their wins however have been narrow and this will be a litmus test for them. Titans FC dropped down to third after starting the last game-week on top, courtesy a loss to FC Kudlu. They will need to step up their game especially on the attacking front if they are to get anything out of this one.
