TAL Season 3: Gameweek 7 Preview - TAL "Crystal Ball"

Captain Pavan Powar will be instrumental yet again and will hope his consistency rubs off on the rest of his Flipkart teammates

The league enters the mid-season stage with an action packed Sunday to look forward to. We also have a postponed Division 2 game when Al-Fateh meets FC Bengal which should provide a great start to the day. The regular Division 1 games follow that game with the pick of the lot being the Gremio-Supernova match at 10 AM.

Division 2:

7:00 AM: FC Bengal v Al-Fateh

The postponed game from Gameweek 1 of Division 2 between FC Bengal and Al-Fateh kicks off the early start in the league this week. Al-Fateh are on top after winning all their games, but this one, much like their game against Titans last week will be a stern examination.

FC Bengal are on a high too after a thumping win against Joras making this an interesting watch. FC Bengal may not have enough to win this game, but certainly have the attacking threat to breach a defence that has not conceded a single goal so far.

Crystal Ball: FC Bengal 1-2 Al-Fateh

Division 1:

8.30 AM: Yataghan Internazionale v Mavericks FC

The Division 1 matches begin with the game between Yataghan and Mavericks. Yataghan ended up on the losing side in a tight game last week against Kougen Kikou whereas Mavericks were convincingly beaten by Flipkart.

Mavericks have hardly had anything going for them this season and need to pull up their socks quickly. Yataghan will consider this a game they should win to solidify their position in mid-table and will be gunning for exactly that.

Crystal Ball: Yataghan Internazionale 2-0 Mavericks FC

10:00 AM: Gremio FC v Supernova FC

Based on past seasons, this would be billed as a blockbuster, but Gremio’s worrying form so far tilts this tie in favour of Supernova FC. Supernova are on a high after pipping Horizons to second place, beating their rivals in their encounter last week.

But, Gremio still have the talent to trouble their opposition and just need that spark to revive their dwindling fortunes. All this makes for an intriguing game which Supernova should ideally win.

Crystal Ball: Gremio FC 0-2 Supernova FC

11:30 AM: Horizons FC v Project 7

Next up is the game between Horizons FC and Project 7. Horizons must still be reeling from their first loss in TAL history last week after they were humbled by Supernova FC.

Project 7 are having a dream season so far and this game could not have come at a better time for them. On paper, Horizons are a far superior side but if there is one team that is least worried about reputations, it would be Project 7. They will however still need to play out of their skins to get something out of this one.

Crystal Ball: Horizons FC 1-1 Project 7

1:15 PM: Rare Dare FC v FC Kougen Kikou

Rare Dare FC are up against FC Kougen Kikou in the first game after lunch in what should be an extremely close game. Both teams are evenly matched with Kougen Kikou having the upper hand because of current form.

Rare Dare have not done justice to the talent they have with results steadily going against them. Some of their suspended players are available once again which should definitely be a boost. Kougen KIkou though, have the wind in their sails and should clinch this tie.

Crystal Ball: Rare Dare FC 1-2 FC Kougen Kikou

2:45 PM: Parikrma v Samba FC

The teams with the two meanest defences in the league go head to head in the next game when Parikrma take on Samba FC. Parikrma’s laboured win last week suggests a false dawn for the side as the performance was reminiscent of their early season troubles when they were just managing to eke out wins.

Samba meanwhile have been steady, depending on their miserly defence which has conceded just two goals so far. Parikrma, in their current form, will find this team hard to break down.

Crystal Ball: Parikrma 0-0 Samba FC

4:15 PM: Mercurial FC v Flipkart FC

Mercurial FC clash against Flipkart to round off action on a busy day in the league. Mercurial pulled a major upset last week, beating Gremio FC to register their first points of the season.

Flipkart meanwhile, continued their up and down trend with a win against Mavericks. Flipkart, though, should have no trouble in disposing of Mercurial FC, despite their heroics last week.

Crystal Ball: Mercurial FC 0-3 Flipkart FC
