Manchester clubs to battle for Aaron Martin

Both United and City are looking for reinforcements at the left-back position and have identified Espanyol's Aaron Martin as a potential January target. Manchester City are looking for an alternative to Benjamin Mendy whereas the Red Devils are looking for an upgrade to Luke Shaw.

According to ESPN, Manchester United were the favourites to land Martin earlier but City have caught up with their rivals for the signature of the Spain U-21 star. Martin is under contract with Espanyol until 2020.

David Moyes favourite to take over from Slaven Bilic

Sky Sports can reveal that West Ham United have contacted David Moyes to take over at the Olympics stadium from the under pressure Slaven Bilic. The Hammers are set for a showdown meeting which will decide the future of Bilic in the next 48 hours. Moyes is eyeing a return to the Premier League and is open for a job in London. West Ham are currently one point above the relegation zone after their 4-1 loss to Liverpool.

AC Milan confident of landing Antonio Conte

It is being reported in the Italian media that a failure to beat Sassuolo tonight will mark the end of Vincenzo Montella's AC Milan stint. The Rossoneri have earmarked Antonio Conte as their next manager and have been extra confident after Chelsea's 3-0 loss to AS Roma. The Blues boss has often talked about a return to his homeland and the Milan club certainly have the financial muscle to lure him away from the Premier League.

Inter Milan eyeing Javier Pastore

Luciano Spalletti is keen on making the most of a brilliant start to the season at Inter Milan and wants reinforcements in January. Tuttosport reveals that Javier Pastore, the PSG midfielder is top on Spalletti's list. Pastore has fallen down the pecking order at Paris and is open for a move to Italy. But the Parisians are expected to demand Joao Mario going the other way for any deal for the Argentine.

Though Bayern Munich have long been linked with the soon to be free agent, Alexis Sanchez, the club has now reportedly ended all their interest in the Chilean. Sky Germany understands that Sanchez has already decided his next destination and there is no point chasing a lost cause for the Bavarians. Speaking on the issue, club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said, "I think Sanchez has already decided which club to join, so I suppose that the door will be closed in January."

Tottenham Hotspur enter the race for Leon Goretzka

It is now expected to be a North London race between Spurs and Arsenal for securing the future of Schalke's Leon Goretzka. The 22-year-old is out of contract next summer and is a transfer target for a number of high profile clubs. Mauricio Pochettino is reported to be a fan of the German midfielder but Sunday Mirror has reported that Goretzka prefers a move to FC Barcelona or Bayern Munich over the Premier League clubs.

Real Betis want Jack Wilshere

After trying their luck last summer, Real Betis are set to return with an approach for Arsenal's Jack Wilshere. The midfielder is in the final year of his contract and there have been no talks scheduled for a renewal. Wilshere is unsure about his future with the Gunners and is looking at other options. Betis can provide him with a new challenge in a new country with the La Liga side keen on taking the 25-year-old on board.

Dele Alli on Real Madrid's radar

Marca has jumped on the Tottenham Hotspur bandwagon after the Premier League side handsomely defeated Real Madrid 3-1 in the Champions League. The Spanish daily has linked Dele Alli with a move to Spain next summer with Zinedine Zidane and club president Florentino Perez being mightily impressed by the former MK Dons starlet. But any move for the youngster may prove to be a difficult task as Spurs supremo, Daniel Levy is considered to be a tough negotiator.

Thomas Meunier rejected a move to Chelsea

The Belgian right-back has today revealed that in order to cement his place in the starting lineup at Paris Saint-Germain, Meunier rejected a deadline day move to Chelsea. Dani Alves' arrival at PSG had made Meunier's future uncertain but the full-back decided instead to fight for his place.

Chelsea wanted a fullback as a cover for Victor Moses but after Meunier's rejection, decided to go for Davide Zappacosta. Talking to Eleven Sports, Meunier revealed, "I was expecting PSG to sign another right-back, but didn't foresee them getting Dani Alves. I could have left for Chelsea on the final day of the transfer window. But I didn't want to join them.I am happy at PSG and I don't want to leave."

Edinson Cavani looking for a return to Napoli

A feud with Neymar has started all the rumours about Edinson Cavani looking for a new club and according to Calciomercato, Napoli are the latest club to be linked with the striker. Fernando Guglielmone, Cavani's brother and agent, has revealed that the Uruguayan has thought about a return to Naples and may look for a move to Italy next summer.
