Twitter goes crazy as Spain thrash Argentina 6-1

Wanda Metropolitano was the venue when Spain hosted Argentina in the last round of international friendlies this term.

Any doubts about it being a tight fixture where thrown into the dustbin at the end of the 90 minutes as Spain absolutely schooled Argentina, who were without the injured Lionel Messi.

From the first minute, Spain was in complete control of the game as their deft passing and movement proved too much to handle for the Argentineans.

Diego Costa scored the opening goal in the 12th minute, Thiago Alcantara and Iago Aspas also found the back of the net but the star of the night was Isco who capped off a brilliant performance with an incredible hat-trick.

Otamendi's solitary goal in the 39th minute proved only to be a consolation.
