Video: Bale's fitness 'not the best', admits Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti said on Friday (13th September) that Gareth Bale is fit and ready to make his Real Madrid debut against Villarreal on Saturday.

(About Bale playing tomorrow) Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid coach, said: “We play 100 per cent. I don´t know if he will start the match or if he will play the second half. His physical condition is not the best but it´s not so bad. he trained alone in this period and he had 10 days of training sessions with the national team. His condition is not 100 per cent but it´s not bad.”

(About Bale´s price) Carlo Ancelotti said:”I think Bale is one of the best players in the market and this is the price of the market. I know Tottenham had offers superior to the one Real Madrid made, well, this is the price of the market. I don´t know how much Real Madrid paid but I´m sure Tottenham received better offers. But the appetite, the emotion of the player to come here, probably made the difference.”

“It is clear we have had many, many problems with the Spanish national team. Four players came back injured. Luckily we have recovered Isco but Coentrao, Arbeloa, Marcelo, they´re all injured. None of this is good and I just want to tell the other teams to please be more careful with the players. Maybe we need to improve communication. I am open to communicate with all the coaches of national teams.”
