Video: Blatter looking forward to Confederations Cup

A few days prior to the 2013 Confederations Cup and with exactly one year to go before the opening match of the Brazil World Cup, FIFA President Sepp Blatter shared his expectations for the two events.

Sepp Blatter, FIFA President:

“We are the leaders also because football, football is played in all corners of the world. And now we go back to Brazil, and Brazil… ok, we say in England football have been generated, football have been organised, the British they make this the wonderful, the beautiful game, I agree… but where the football is coming from, where the football is dance, where the football is Samba, this is Brazil.”

(On the Confederations Cup)“The specific points will be the logistics, that means transport of spectators, teams, then security checks, ticket control, hotels arrangements – and this is very important because we play in six different cities. And this is really, I say this is really the cup of the champions, but it’s also a very good rehearsal for us.”

(On Brazil’s readiness for the World Cup)“Ask me this question after the Confederations Cup but definitely they are ready, I have seen the stadia, I have seen them only on pictures and in movies, and I have to congratulate the architects in charge of these stadia – its like jewels they have made in the different cities – and I’m very happy to be there during the Confederations Cup and to visit all the cities.”
