RasenBallsport Leipzig’s goalkeeper Fabio Coltorti turned hero with an injury time winner

This comes from a match in the second tier of German football (2. Bundesliga) where RasenBallsport Leipzig beat Darmstadt thanks to an injury time goal from RB goalkeeper Fabio Coltorti. The match was tied at 1-1 when the goalkeeper made his way forward for a corner kick.

He stationed himself just inside the six-yard box in front of his opponent goalkeeper and waited for a chance to score. And he got it!

The ball was delivered into the box where a Leipzig player knocked it down with a header in the direction of goal. Although he was trying to score, the timing was wrong and the ball, luckily, fell at the feet of his goalkeeper.

Coltorti stopped the ball with his foot, swiveled on the spot and took a shot that whizzed past the goalkeeper and hit the back of the net to spark off wild celebrations!
