Glasgow, July 28 (IANS) Hosts Scotland recorded their highest Commonwealth Games gold haul by picking up their 12th yellow metal on Monday.

Alex Marshall and Paul Foster won Scotland's historic 12th gold medal in the men's pair's event of lawn bowls. The pair thrashed their Malaysian rivals 20-3 to make it a record Commonwealth gold rush for the Scots. So far, Scotland's best showing at the Games was the 11 gold medals they won at Melbourne in 2006.
