Michael Phelps wins the WHOOP's Shot competition at the WM Phoenix Open

Michael Phelps's love for golf is undeniable. The most decorated American athlete recently competed at the WM Phoenix Open Pro-Am held on Wednesday (February 8), where the swimmer registered the win at WHOOP's Shot competition.

The PGA Tour shared a video on their social media page with the following caption:

"A pure dart to 8 feet. Michael Phelps takes the win at WHOOP's shot at glory, WM Phoenix Open."

Fans jumped into the comments section to react. One wrote:

"Jon Rahm taught him well."

Phelps is the most decorated Olympian in the world. He is considered one of the greatest athletes on the planet.

Michael Phelps has won 28 overall medals at the Olympics, including 23 golds. He was last seen at the Rio Summer Olympics where the athlete added five gold medals to his record.

Having won 82 medals in major tournaments, Michael Phelps is unarguably the greatest athlete of all time.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open is a PGA Tour event featuring celebrities playing alongside professional golfers. The professionals will start their tee-offs on Thursday, February 9, and will continue with the final scheduled for Sunday, February 12.

The event is one of the biggest tournaments of the year, with a prize purse of $20 million. The winner will take home a check for $3.6 million and also earn valuable points in World Golf Rankings.

The WM Phoenix Open field includes 132 golfers, including 37 of the top 50 in the world rankings. Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Xander Schauffele will compete in the tournament.

The celebrity field consists of Albert Pujols, the NFL Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis, Alex Rodriguez, and J.J. Watt.
