WATCH: Fan dressed as Forrest Gump run around on 2024 Zurich Classic Course

A bizarre moment was witnessed at the 2024 Zurich Classic Course when a man dressed as Forrest Gump was seen running around in TPC Louisiana. The man was dressed in an eerily similar attire to that of Forrest Gump, a character from an iconic 1990s movie. The member of the public was casually running around the course.

The scenes were witnessed during the third round of the 2024 Zurich Classic of New Orleans. In July 2024, the legendary movie Forrest Gump will celebrate its 30th anniversary. The movie won six Academy Awards and etched our names in our hearts.

The man mimicked the attire of Forrest Gump with a red cap, yellow top, red pants, white shoes and sported a long beard at Zurich Classic. He mirrored the moments from Tom Hanks' character's three-year non-stop cross-country marathon.

Even the announcers were stumped at the similarity. One of them exclaimed:

"Oh my gosh... Forrest Gump is running around the golf course. You literally can't make this up."

The iconic movie has been paid homage by many popular TV shows like The Simpsons' "Gump Roast" and Family Guy's "Oscars Guy". The scenes from the movie keep on getting viral and some of the popular memes come from the movie.

Patrick Fishburn and Zac Blair were at the top of the leaderboard after the end of the third day at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Louisiana with 23 under par. The pair posted an impressive score of 60 with 12 under par on Saturday. List and Norlander are positioned second with a score of 22 under par.
