The KHK MMA has announced more big names who will participate in the fight promotion Brave Combat Federation. Bahrain is hosting the first Brave event on September 23 at Khalifa Sports City, Manama in Isa Town.
The latest names announced include Indian Mixed Martial Artists from All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Abdul Muneer (6-1-0) and Mohd. Farhad (7-2-0). Muneer is one of the most popular MMA fighters in India and well rounded in the game coming with 3 knockouts and 3 submission victories in his career. Both fighters have contributed for the growth of MMA in India and had their presence in Bollywood films like Boxer (2014) and Bhaagi (2016).
Apart from the Indian fighters the event is star studded with top regional featherweights - Jordan’s Abdulkareem Al Selwady, a former Desert Force champion in a much anticipated bout against Iraq’s Rami Aziz who will square off at the first ever Brave event, but this time in the lightweight division.
Already confirmed in the main event on the fight card are the biggest star of MMA in the Middle East, Mohammad Fakhreddine (8-1) who steps into the cage against undefeated Brazilian Thiago Vieira (8-0) and the co-main event sees the return of Eldar Eldarov (7-1) as he looks to continue a winning streak, which dates back to 2009.
His opponent is Peter Queally (8-2), an in-form Irish fighter, who hails from John Kavannagh’s SBG gym and trains with many high profile fighters there such as Conor McGregor.
