"I'm doing everything I can to fight for the title" - Russian powerhouse Dmitry Menshikov still eager to get back at Regian Eersel

Hard-hitting Russian Muay Thai fighter Dmitry Menshikov will stop at nothing to book another shot at 'The Immortal' Regian Eersel and a crack at the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title.

Menshikov faced Eersel in his ONE Championship debut in June 2023, losing to the Surinamese-Dutch fighter via first-round knockout.

After barely missing out on the title, Menshikov has since bounced back with a pair of impressive knockout wins over Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong and Mouhcine Chafi.

Menshikov believes he is just one win away over a worthy opponent in order to book a rematch with Eersel.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Menshikov said he is on the precipice of another world title match berth.

The Empire Club / Kuzbass Muay Thai representative said:

"I'm doing everything I can to fight for the title again. Two knockouts in two fights is proof of that."

Menshikov is set to face Thailand's Sinsamut Klinmee at ONE Fight Night 22: Sundell vs. Diachkova on Prime Video.

The event broadcasts live from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

In Dmitry Menshikov's mind, he's simply a better fighter than upcoming opponent Sinsamut Klinmee of Thailand. In fact, the 26-year-old Russan says he has all the bases covered against his counterpart.

The knockout machine told ONE Championship:

"I'm faster, stronger, tougher, and most importantly, more versatile. I can work in offense, defense, counter, put pressure. So I have a huge advantage over him."
