MotoGp Tests In Catalunya
MONTMELO, SPAIN – JUNE 04: Karel Abraham of Czech and Cardion AB Motoracing speaks with mechanics in box during the MotoGp Tests In Catalunya at Circuit de Catalunya on June 4, 2012 in Montmelo, Spain.

After having fell off his bike twice and sustaining a major injury, MotoGP rider Karel Abraham seems unfit to race at the Silverstone Circuit. Though it is uncertain how his situation will change the next few days, chances are he will have to miss the following round.

The rider has suffered from a disappointing season in which he sustained an injury to his left hand following a number of falls. He commented: “We were unlucky, as in Barcelona the fall was partly my fault, but not here. Something happened with the bike, which we are trying to understand. The problem is that every time we fall I am hurting and this does not allow us to work seamlessly.”

“Actually we were doing well, but now with a hand in this conditions and the bike being destroyed, we are forced to stop the test early; really bad luck. Now on Friday, once the hand’s swelling goes down, we will perform new tests to assess my recovery time.”
