After stamping its authority in the first round, Dark Don Racing is determined to continue its stranglehold on LGB Formula 4 class in the second round of the JK Tyre Racing Championship, that will be held at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore on August 10 & 11.

Chennai-based Dark Don’s silver-liveried cars were the toast of the first round of the LGB Formula 4 class held at the same venue last month as its ace driver Sarosh Hataria notched up two brilliant victories out of three races. Hataria is now leading the championship with points 51 points.

The expectations will once again be on the experienced Hataria, who hails from Coimbatore and knows the Kari track well. Another Dark Don racer Karthik Krishna, who shone in all the three races of the first round, is currently third in the championship with 38 points.

With a proven track record in Formula 4, Dark Don is one of the strongest teams in the championship and is fielding six cars. Advait Deodhar and Ankur Kushwaha, who were a bit unlucky last time with some issues in the equipment, are eager to make amends this weekend. Gautam Ganesh and Tanay Dalvi will complete the six-car line-up.

As part of Dark Don’s drivers development programme, the team is fielding Mumbai’s Tanay who is all set to make his debut, according to Afsar Riyaz E, team princial of Dark Don.

There are three races scheduled for the weekend with two on Saturday and one on Sunday morning.
