Video: Hermunen dominates Supermoto World Championship third round

Finland’s Mauno Hermunen won both Grand Prix races in the third round of the Supermoto World Championship in the Czech Republic on Sunday.

Current Supermoto World Champion Thomas Chareyre started from pole position, but it was the Finn Hermunen who emerged victorious in each of the 18-lap races.

Hermunen emerged victorious in race one in a time of 20 and minutes 49.792 seconds, 0.817seconds ahead of Frenchman Thomas Chareyre.

Chareyre’s brother Adrien was third and Italian Ivan Lazzarini on his Honda bike was fourth.

In race two, Lazzarini improved to a third-placed finish, he finished 3.019 seconds behind winner Mauno Hermunen, who crossed the finish line in 20 minutes and 57.169 seconds.

The competitors will travel to Estonia next, for the fourth round of the World Championship.
