CELSIUS becomes veteran NASCAR driver AJ Allmendinger’s primary sponsor in Cup and Xfinity Series

Kaulig Racing and AJ Allmendinger on Friday (January 12) announced that CELSIUS Essential Energy has renewed and expanded its relationship with the team for the 2024 season.

CELSIUS, the official Energy Drink Partner of Kaulig Racing, will continue its role as the primary sponsor while increasing its presence on AJ Allmendinger’s 16 car in multiple events this season in Cup and Xfinity season, starting with Daytona 500.

Kaulig Racing has yet to announce for which races CELSIUS will serve as a primary sponsor for Allmendinger this season.

In a statement, Kaulig Racing president Chris Rice said:

“CELSIUS has always been important to everyone at Kaulig Racing. We encourage all our employees to take time for their health and fitness, and having a long-time partner that not only encourages the same, but aids our employees in doing so, is awesome. It means a lot to us to continue this partnership as we go into our ninth season with CELSIUS.”

AJ Allmendinger secured two wins in CELSIUS’s paint scheme in both the Xfinity Series race at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), and in the Cup Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL.

The NASCAR veteran is elated to the continue partnership with CELSIUS which was started in 2019. He is looking forward to representing the brand’s color on his #16 car both on and off the track.

In a team release, Allmendinger said:

“I’m excited about our continued partnership with CELSIUS. To see the growth of CELSIUS, even since I joined the team in 2019, has been really special. CELSIUS is the go-to energy drink for my team and I, and it was definitely fun to have it as part of our victory lane celebrations last season. We’re going to have a fun season as this brand continues to grow, and I look forward to representing them on and off the track.”

AJ Allmendinger returned full-time to the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season after spending a full-time Cup season in 2023. However, the 42-year-old will make select starts for Kaulig Racing in 2024.
