NASCAR 2023: Full weekend schedule for Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway

The 2023 NASCAR Goodyear 400 is all set to take place on Sunday (May 14) at the Darlington Raceway. Fans can watch the race on FS1 and MRN at 3:00 pm ET.

Sunday’s race will be the 13th race of the 2023 NASCAR season in Darlington, South Carolina. It will see the Next Gen car in action for the third time since its debut.

The track features 25 degrees of banking in turns 1 and 2, 23 degrees of banking in turns 3 and 4, three degrees on the frontstretch and two degrees on the backstretch.

The Darlington Raceway is nicknamed "The Lady in Black" and "The Track Too Tough to Tame" by many NASCAR fans and drivers. It has unique characteristics that require drivers to race against the wall.

The Darlington Raceway opened in 1950 and hosted its first Cup Series race the same year, with Johnny Mantz taking the win at the inaugural event.

The 36 drivers entering this week’s Cup Series race will compete for over 293 laps at the 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval track. The Cup Series weekend will start with Saturday’s (May 13) practice session. It will be followed by a qualifying race on the same day and conclude with the Goodyear 400 main race on Sunday.

The Darlington Raceway will host the season’s 13th event of the Cup Series, 11th for Xfinity and ninth for the Truck Series in over three days.

Joey Logano and Team Penske enter as the defending winners of the Goodyear 400 after securing a thrilling victory in last year's event. The #22 Ford driver will look to defend his title on Sunday.
