Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has given an injury update on his long-time friend and star left tackle Davis Bakhtiari. Having played just nine games this season, the future Hall of Fame left tackle hasn't been sighted since the Packers' Week 12 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
With Green Bay now finding some form and hunting for what was once an unlikely playoff spot, Rodgers could have one of the best offensive linemen back for the remaining two games and potentially the playoffs if they make it.

On the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers was stated that, while he did not want to jinx the left tackle, all signs are pointing to Bakhtiari suiting up for the Packers against the Minnesota Vikings.
Rodgers said:
"I don't want to say too much. I don't want to jinx him or anything. He's my car buddy, and I'm sure, if I say something that gets back to him, he's gonna be bitching about it for the two minutes and 23 seconds, you know, we drive down to practice. But I feel confident that he's gonna be practicing this week and hopefully training towards playing."
Having the left tackle back in the lineup would be the perfect pick-me-up for Rodgers and the Packers as they have two games to punch their ticket to the postseason.
Rodgers and Packers chasing unlikely playoff berth
After being on a five-game losing streak, the Packers have steadied the ship, winning their last three games to sit at 7-8 on the season. While the NFC North division title is well and truly out of reach, a playoff spot isn't.
The Packers are right on the edge of making the playoffs but will need to win their last two games and hope other results go their way.
After the horror start, the 2022 season could still end with some good things happening.
With the Washington Commanders (holding the seventh seed with a 7-7-1 record), the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions (both 7-8), Green Bay is right behind them.
A postseason without Green Bay certainly isn't out of the question, but neither is them making a late run. They say the hottest teams win playoff games, and if the Packers make it, they would have won five consecutive games.
Once in the playoffs, anything can happen, especially with a quarterback like Rodgers under center.
