The Packers had an injury scare during Thursday's practice

Ambulances are never a good sight in the NFL, but the Green Bay Packers had to call one just three days after Damar Hamlin's collapse in primetime in the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills.

According to reports, a player — who the team declined to identify — from the practice squad suffered an injury during practice and had to be transported by ambulance for treatment during Thursday's practice. He suffered an injury in the hip/leg region, and the team decided to utilize an ambulance to give him the best possible treatment.

The injury is being evaluated.

Of course, following Hamlin's collapse during Monday Night Football, all health procedures have to be taken seriously. The first responders were perfect in their treatment and CPR applications to restore his pulse. Although everybody was shocked by the scenes, the Bills' safety is recovering well and is awake.

The league is not expected to replay the game between the Bengals and the Bills, but there's no clarity on what's to be done regarding the final result and the ramifications of the AFC playoffs.

Packers playoff chances: One divisional game standing between Green Bay and playoffs

Speaking of the playoffs, Green Bay can pull off a miraculous comeback this season and make the postseason if they can win just one more regular-season game: against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football.

For a team that once sat with 4-8, an inept offense and a season that was surely going to end without a playoff game, the Packers have miraculously redeemed themselves and won four straight to get into contention. Now, all they have to do is beat the Detroit Lions at home to complete the mission.

They're still a lot behind the other Super Bowl contenders, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers — to whom the Packers lost in two of their previous three postseason appearances. While they should be happy to make it, betting on them to win the conference would not be smart.

But Green Bay has Aaron Rodgers. And you can never doubt this guy.
