"He's on his own timeline" - Colin Cowherd claims Aaron Rodgers ghosted Matt LaFleur in meetings

Divisional Round - Green Bay Packers v Dallas Cowboys

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will soon get his wish of being traded to the New York Jets. Once he's traded from Green Bay to New York, he will have left behind the Packers after 18 seasons.

Rodgers' relationship with the team over the last two years has gotten rocky and he's threatened to retire/be traded multiple times.

According to talk show host Colin Cowherd, Rodgers would sometimes 'ghost' head coach Matt LeFleur in team meetings.

"If you had friends who called you out, didn't surround yourself with those that just agree with you, somebody would have said, 'Dude, it's been eight weeks. You may want to get a hold of your employer'. I saw another quote this morning. This comes from Zach Gelb, our reporter. He was told that Aaron and his coach, Matt LaFleur, had game plan meetings to give Rodgers more say. Remember, Aaron wants more say. Sometimes, Aaron would show up. Other times he would leave Matt LaFleur sitting there and never gave a reason why. Once again, Aaron's on his own timeline."

Matt LaFleur isn't the only Packers member Aaron Rodgers has left hanging. According to general manager Brian Gutekunst, Rodgers ignored him multiple times this off-season, especially about his and the team's off-season plans.

Gutekunst said:

“You come out of the season. You have a lot of conversations not only with Aaron, but with the rest of the team, coaches, and everybody. And then as you go through that process, you kind of get an idea of where you’re going to move to as a team, how you’re going to go forward. I think I was really looking forward to the conversations with Aaron to see how he’d fit into that. Those never transpired."

It seems very apparent that Rodgers' intentions this off-season were to not return to the Packers. He will be traded to the New York Jets soon. It's just a matter of the Packers and Jets agreeing on the right compensation.

Rodgers will be entering the 19th season of his NFL career at the age of 39. Do you think he can win a Super Bowl with the New York Jets?
