"Do I really give a f**k?" Giants legend Lawrence Taylor flames sports media

New York Giants Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor is one of, if not the greatest, defensive players in the history of football.

The former MVP is known for his tough, aggressive persona. He is one of the bluntest players in the league.

While appearing on "I Am Athlete's" episode two of season four, Taylor flamed the sports media industry for how they are acting these days. He said that he doesn't "give a f**k" about certain things the media does.

"I love the sports, but I love my, you know, to be quiet," Taylor said. "I love to be unnoticed as much as I can. You know, I will listen to your introduction. Do I really care? Do I really give a f**k? All right. I don't know. Do I? Sometimes, yeah.

"I care about what my girl says to me, my lady. I said, I care about what my mama says. I care about what my father says. I care about what my kids think. I care about what my friends think. I care about what people think.

"But I'm not gonna kiss their ass for they could be, 'Oh, oh, he's nice.' I am who I am. I'm not a politician. I'm not a writer. I'm not a song singer. I'm not a rapper. I'm a football player. And this is what I do. This is what I do. And I hope you understand that I've done it to the best that I can do it."

In the same episode, Taylor was asked who the greatest defensive player of all time is. He responded by saying, if not him, then who is? When the team asked if he would put Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald in there, he said he would only because they wanted him to say that.

A few moments later, Taylor seriously answered the question and gave his list of the top-five greatest defensive players ever.

“Reggie White, Deacon Jones," Taylor said. "If you’re calling all positions, yeah, I gotta put (Deion Sanders) up there, too. Of course, Deion Sanders. Probably No. 4. I like Ronnie Lott. I think Ronnie Lott is a hell of a player."

Donald is certainly deserving of being listed as one of the top five greatest defensive players of all time. A Super Bowl champion and three-time Defensive Player of the Year, Donald is arguably the greatest defensive tackle of all time.
